Destruction of property

Our five year old took a thumb tack to the paint on the wall during quiet time. 

He was bored. 

Being able to read 1,000 books isn't entertaining enough when you do it day after day, you know. 

And besides, destruction of property sounds like so much fun. 

Now there's a nice big hole in my dry wall. 

Funny, because we were choosing paint colours anyway. 

His punishment? Challenging to think up. 

Rob came up with this: Clean the fridge. Inside and out. 

You wreck something of mine, you need to make something of mine nicer. 

It took him an hour. But he did it without complaining and even told me he was glad to be helping keep our house nice.
