What's up

I haven't updated this for a while and I have lots to say, so here it goes.

Ezra: reads. All. The. Time. Can't get him to come to the table. Can't get him to get dressed. He just wants to read. A very good problem to have. He is VERY excited to be starting soccer next month. He is also VERY excited about starting school in September.

Silas: so much for potty trained. We've gone from almost total independence to complete regression to semi-trained in the last few weeks. I guess that's what happens when you get diarrhea off and on for three weeks and your dad leaves for a week. Oh well, it'll come back. We keep working on it. We have also submitted a referral for a Speech and Language Assesment. He is not doing as well as I'd like and I want to implement any plans sooner than later. He also has perfect eye sight, as he went for his first optometry appointment ever last week.

Philip: can roll over again! He's been sleeping 7-4 or 5 and then until 7 or 8. We are still breast feeding and bottle feeding and it is still not always awesome. He is our smiliest baby. We still have him in the playpen in our room, and we will keep him there until after Rob and I get home from Italy this July. He is four months old later this week and will go for shots and a checkup later this month.

Rob: just got back from a conference in San Diego. It was great- he made lots of work connections, met a Noble prize winner, got mistaken for James Franco, presented three times, got third place, and judged another category. We were so happy when he came home! On Friday of last week, he was hit by a car while he as biking to work. He has a few scratches and a big nasty bruise but is fine. He could have been killed but thankfully his injuries are very minor. Today Rob participates in a research fair at the university.

Me! Three of the four of us (me included) got the stomach flu while Rob was away and it was terrible. We had a lot of people help us while he was away but I still felt like I barely survived. I have been trying to keep up on painting but I haven't sold anything yet (but it's only been a month). I am really excited about our next visitors later this month (Robin and Tim without the boys!) and also our trip to Italy in June/July.
